PPP seminar

In June 2009, the IAKS held its first two practical workshops on the subject of “PPP and Facility Management”. The venues were the DLRG conference centre in Bad Nenndorf in Lower Saxony (8th June) and the college of physical education in Oberhaching, Bavaria (25th June).
The goal of the seminars was to give those attending a practical overview of the subjects of finance, cost-effectiveness, award procedures and contract models and of the life cycle, rates of efficiency and the sustainable operation of sports facilities.
The pleasant atmosphere of the workshop was a fitting setting not only to highlight the pros and cons of public-private partnerships, but also to clarify one or two points with seminar participants.
